Please join United Tribes of North Carolina for our fashion show, "Echoes of Ancestry: Fashion Forward" as part of our 50th year celebration. It will be a spectacular showcase of Indigenous art and fashion.

Eligibility

The Native Fashion Show is open to Native American designers residing in North Carolina from a State/Federally recognized tribe. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application. Only Native American artisans will be accepted for this event. Eligibility requirements are in compliance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L. 101-644). Under the Act, an artist must be a member of a state or federally recognized tribe or be certified as a tribal artisan by a tribe. Each designer can put up 3 designs in the fashion show and each designer secure your own models. You must also send proof of enrollment.

 

Selection Process

Applicants must fulfill the application requirements by Jan. 6, 2025. Applicants will be notified by Jan 30, 2025

 

Selection Criteria

Designers will be selected by the quality and strength of past work as demonstrated in the application.
